Infrastructure
Each GPX center is designed and constructed with multiple and separate levels of redundancy for HVAC, power, switching systems, telecommunications access, and fire detection/suppression systems.
HVAC:
Utilizing redundant, air cooled HVAC design, GPX provides appropriate airflow, temperature, and humidity optimizing conditions for equipment operation and minimizing downtime due to failure.
POWER:
GPX power systems are designed and equipped with a level of redundancy that generates continuous operation in the event of power spikes, surges, or brownouts or commercial power outages. With Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and emergency backup generators, GPX’s electrical distribution system can power the data center even during a public utility failure.
FIRE SUPPRESSION:
State-of-the-art, multi-zone VESDA detection systems constantly monitor physical environments for heat and smoke. The systems have sensory mechanisms that provide heat and/or smoke alarms which in turn activate FM 200 dry fire suppression systems.
MULTI-LEVEL SECURITY
Each GPX IX utilizes multiple levels of physical and electronic security. All entry ways and interior doors are monitored and recorded using high resolution CCTV digital video cameras. All internal access points are controlled using access cards and numbered keypads. Visitor identification and access permissions are verified on arrival in at least two locations. GPX provides escort services to customer destinations and for the period while work is being performed. Each facility is staffed by security personnel 24/7.
